The day turned out to be just perfect

The weather office foretold rain today. In fact, it rained hard and stormy winds blew for some time last evening. But, I needed a rainless day to cast the concrete roof on my new house. The morning sky was cloudy and it was threatening. I began to have second thoughts about proceeding with my work. But my mason said we must go ahead with the work because the monsoon season might start in a day or two. It didn't rain today though clouds hung over the sky. It made the day less hot and that was a blessing. In the evening , I am grateful for the good weather which made the work smooth and successful. How was your day?

That must have been the cause of worry for you. During rain, the construction is not done. Good to know that work is complete now.

You're right in saying that construction is not done. But l had to take a little risk and had to do it. In fact the real rainy season here is still about ten days away.

Yes Judy, I am very relieved to have the roof done. It's one of the most expensive part of work and a heavy shower would have harmed it immensely.
