RAIN!!!!! Hooray! We need rain, but more significantly, we’re getting a break from the incredible heat. No break from songs written by Roger Miller, however. Here’s the next song on the list of tunes he wrote that were hits for someone else. #6: Less and Less - Charlie Louvin Linda? HI. Don’t listen. Truthfully, this song to me sounds like Charlie Louvin sang the Roger Miller song to the tune of the Bill Anderson song that made up the other half of the album title. He also did this a lot faster than Roger’s eventual recording (Miller’s rendition didn’t come out until 1966’s Words and Music By Roger Miller). It’s a great song, either way you go, with Miller’s famous word play (“more and more I think about you less and less”) on display.
