Silence and seclusion

Illness unpredictably changes you as a person. When I got my first diagnosis of breast cancer, I was so devastated that I felt betrayed. I stayed away from people. But as months go by, my solitude made me discover that I was not alone. There are people out there who have the same fate with me. I reached out to them and assure that it will be fine. Fine it is, who knows!!!

Yes it is true there are others and I am sorry you had to feel this way but most sorry about the diagnosis.
Are you overcoming it?

@RebeccasFarm I don't know. Fear and uncertainty envelope me so much that at this time faith in Him is my only foundation.

@nita04 So you are not going to treat it this time with chemo?

I recognize your emotions. I believe that at some point in the life of my late mother, who shared your predicament, she got to a point where she had almost given up on everything. But with friends and family at her side, she persisted in fighting illness as best she could in the limited time she had. I can tell that she put up a valiant fight to live and outlive others who were in a similar situation.

You do feel bad when you loose your body parts but health is more important than that body part. Take care.

You still deserve to be happy, talking with your close friends and family members may help you to feel better. Don't exclude yourself, I hope things get better.

I shun from them because I don't want them to feel obligated. They have spend so much already and I don't want them to have another burden. I went back to mylot to have someone to share and gain strength from it.

When it happens to us or to someone we love, we tend to think that we don't deserve to go through this. And in fact, nobody does. I thought this when my niece was diagnosed with mild cerebral palsy. She is just a child. But then I remembered that my family is no better than others who have the same problem. I also remembered that there are thousands of children facing a much more severe cerebral palsy. To go through bad things there is no age. There were doubts that my niece was going to walk. But thank God she walks, goes to school and has an educational caregiver to support her. I wish you all the best.

Good to know that you maintain a positive attitude. According to a lot of research, it does help to fight the illness.
