Yesterday, my mother ordered me to pay using a Visa debit card.
I tried it, to pay the Hostgator web hosting.
But it failed.
It says "Your Debit Card was canceled."
I ask my mother if the new card was activated.
And today I found out that it wasn't.
So she need to activate it, and she wanted me to come with her.
The instruction says that we need to activate it twice.
1st is to change PIN.
2nd is after the registration online.
I know if you do this for the first time it is worrisome.
Because no body wants to make mistake especially when your personal money is involved.
So what was your reaction when you were in the same situation?

I´m 77 abd miss some of the old things. But I also recognise that in other things, the new technology is better.

My mother is 67yrs. old but loves the new technologies. She find it hard at first but little by little she began to like it.

I usually ask assistance from bank personnel when activating my card. They are more than happy to assist.

I've never had that problem. I've always been the more tech savvy person in the family, so I know what I am doing. I only have to activate a card once, and then I'll test it out. When Sunburst turned to Trust, I did have a problem with my card. but, I was able to get it resolved with my husband, who helped me.

Never been in that spot. I’ve had visa sent to my online in and email and never need a PIN number usually just need the number and the date some have the three digit code on the back of the digit card and there I do I’m good to go. If people ask me what I want I tell them amazon or target card because it’s easy to use with no pins and stuff.
