The war in Ukraine has now crossed 110 days and it doesn't seem to be ending but the Russian army is moving forward slowly but surely. The Donbas region has been mostly captured by Russia and now they are targeting Odessa and Kharkiv.
There are other unfortunate developments and one is the stopping of access to the Russian enclave of Kalinngrad by the Baltic republics. We must understand that the Baltic republics are not a military power and have done this only on instigation from the USA and UK. They little realise that they have caught the bear by the tail. This action has all the propensity to lead to World War 3. These countries will not survive on the world map in a nuclear war when two or three H-bombs are enough to destroy them. I wonder when they will see reason.
The sanctions on Russia have failed and have been counterproductive as the western powers are suffering with inflation and high prices. The European powers face the danger of being wiped out from the map of Europe. One cannot forget the words of Nikita Khruschev, first secretary of the Soviet Communist party who in 1961 had stated that a few H Bombs are enough to wipe England from the world map. All I can say is that I hope sanity prevails.

I also hope that nuclear weapons will not be used in this current conflict at all.
