I was on my early 20s when I join Mylot and now I am super old, married and gonna be a dad.Birthdays makes me feel awful. I will be 40 in 2 years. I still look young but the numbers, I cannot accept it. It makes me feel less sexy even though there is barely changes in my body. My biggest fear is the aging spurt where my Asian Genes cannot defend me from aging anymore and I will look old. There are no candles on my cake because I hate the numbers.

@Marilynda1225 I miss being foolish and not worrying about tomorrow though. Now I over analyze anything to be careful of my actions.

Oh wow, you're gonna a be a dad - congratulations ! Well I've known you for a long time now . . . remember you will ALWAYS be younger than me . As you focus on family life, you may see that your priorities will change. Even if you hate birthday candles for yourself, you will see how special birthday candles will be to your child - and family - and you. Suddenly you realize the things you thought were important in the past aren't as important. I wish you a happy birthday . . . be proud of your age .

@CaptAlbertWhisker That's ok . . . if you've got 18 inside of you then keep it there as long as you can. Not gonna lie - I must admit there are some physical changes as we get older - but it all doesn't have to be bad or something to fear. Age gracefully, as they say . . . embrace it and do what you can to stay healthy as you always have. Not everyone gets arthritis.

I am still in denial stage. I am still 18. I think I will be coping for a week and go back to normal but the 40th birthday is the biggest fear. I heard arthritis comes on that age.

Congratulations on becoming a dad. Age is merely a number and you have probably gotten wiser as you've gotten older. I love my birthday and every year as I add another candle I am thankful that I have that many candles to celebrate.

I prefer to be sexier than wiser though. I had been a nerd all of my life.

Congrats on becoming a dad. I will be turning 40 this year. I don't feel old. Still a long way to go before that happens I think.

Remember when we are teens and we see 30 year olds are super old people.

@CaptAlbertWhisker I've heard of that but don't remember if I felt that way when I was a teen.

My biggest fear is impotence which is one of the offsets of aging. I havent experience yet but the fear is creeping. Especially now I am married.

I already have two kids since I made this post. I am considering vasectomy to stop the madness.

It's good that your body hasn't changed, time really flies so fast.

I am afraid of the time when my body will change because I worked hard for it.

@CaptAlbertWhisker but it is part of life so we just need to accept it. But you can still work out doing exercises helps a bit.

What do you mean by aging spurt? When does it happen and when does it stop?
Congrats on the baby. You'll be 56 by the time he graduates from high school.

Aging spurt is when no work out, skin treatments or genetics can keep your youthful looks anymore. In your country's words... Losyang
