Do any of you remember doing this as a teen? When I was about 16 I started going downtown on Friday and/or Saturday nights to cruise the main street with my then-girlfriend. I remember giving my girlfriend about $2 or so for my part of the gas. Of course, gas was about $1.73 then. She drove since I didn't have a car yet. The big thing back then was cool, fast cars. There was one goldish-colored Chevy Impala that was always around and win any race. There were others that were cool but I don't remember them. This Impala sticks in my mind. We made friends, saw fights, watched car races, smoked weed, window shopped, ate at the vendors, listened to music, met kids from the other high schools, learned gossip, and told our share. Silliness at an early age. I don't know what made me think about this.
