Update on Meeting My Father’s Family

It just dawned on me that I never updated on my visit with my father’s family. I feel that the meeting went very well. I met my half sister and my fathers sister. It was a nice visit. My sister went with Little Miss and I. We visited for about two hours and had lunch together. And promised that we would get together again. My half-sister brought a picture of my father for me. And promised to also to find the pictures that she had put in a safe spot so she would remember where she put them. I told her she was so like me because I do that all the time. My half sister and I had so many similarities. And of course in female fashion we all sat and had a good cry because it was like this wonderful coming together. I have since connected with my half brothers. We only talk or should I say chat on messenger and through text. I have yet to meet them. My half sister’s birthday was yesterday and I sent her a message wishing her a wonderful day. I told her that we need to get together soon and have lunch and chat. She agreed and hopefully within the next couple of weeks we can meet. My half-sister did follow through and send me a few more pictures. It’s so clear that I am my father’s child. There is a strong resemblance. She also included some pictures of her and my brothers when they were little and that warmed my heart as well. I feel that she’s willing to include me in her life. I now have to sort through my pictures and make copies so that I can send them to her. I don’t have too many because my mother wasn’t very good at taking pictures when we were young. I brought the pictures up so I could show my mom hoping that she would recognize my father and his youth. Unfortunately she has regressed a great deal and was unable to recognize him. I’m hoping that by August I’ll be able to connect with my brothers as well so that I can get to know them a little better. My apologies for the delay in posting this. My life has been a little topsy-turvy with everything that’s going on with my mom. Also trying to keep this little one entertained has proven to be a challenge but I’m on top of it and have a little time for myself. Photo credit goes to my sister.
