tolerance of religions

Let's say a friend or family member that you've known for years tells you that they have a new religion. It's very different from yours. Do you continue to treat him/her the same as you did, or can't you reconcile the differences? Do you try to tolerate your friend's faith or rebel against it?

i think it would be a great debating point and would probably bring our friendship closer

True ... I always thought it would be intriguing to have a friend with a different faith since we could talk about differences and get a bigger world view. I already enjoy studying about and celebrating cultures and religions different from my own.
