I just heard of another household hint that sounds good. Definitely doing this tonight

They said if you put a dishwasher tablet in the toilet overnight and allow it to work in the morning just do a light scrub and you will have a pristine commode. The example showed Finish the one with the ball in it, but I think any tablet would work just as well really. Have you tried this? I have also heard to use denture tablets for a similar effect.

I haven't, but it seems with a try. It can't make it worse. Might get rid of those pesky hard water stains.

@snowy22315 Part of me wants to try, but I'm concerned of it not resolving properly, and clogging the toilet, but they are small so maybe it won't be so bad?

@LadyDuck Yes, same here. I prefer having a dishwasher, but it is not essential.

@snowy22315 I am going to use the dishwasher tablets in the toilet because my dishwasher broke and for the moment I do not intend to replace it.

I am willing to give it a try. We have terribly hard water and I have a difficult time removing it.

I am not sure it works well with set I stains, but just general cleaning is fine.

I have heard of that but I never tried it. I have also heard about the several uses of Coca Cola.

Ohhhhh, I'd like try this too! Although I'd have to get those tablets (we use liquid). Or maybe a tab of liquid would work too? Oh - my daughter has the denture stuff for her retainers . . . I'm gonna snag one .

I pour a little chlorine in my toilet every few days and scrub lightly with the brush. Works for me.

@snowy22315 I’m satisfied with mine. I used to use toilet cleaner but found that a little chlorine works perfectly with little to no scrubbing.

It really sounds like it might be good. If it works, I will be doing it all the time.
