Has anyone ever tried writing a book
Well I never ever thought of it until some of my Friends said I should write one as they love reading my E-Mails I didn't think much more of it then one of my Friends kept telling me to give it a go as she thinks I would do well so I am now and I have some people who are reading it as I am writting and they are saying it is very good
Well I will see when the book is finished and if it gets published which my Friends seem to think lol if I have been successful but I still have a lot of writing to do
So have you ever considered it?

Personally I have not written a book, however, my daughter who is 14 has. She had some net friends to help with the art or cover work and then another was the editor...she worked many hours on it and is proud of herself. In fact a few more books are in the works...sort of a series thing. She used Lulu I think to self publish the book..I think that that is the way to do it.

it's one of my dreams, too. i mean, writing a book, too. but i just don't know where to start and where to go if i have the manuscripts already. there's not much opportunity for writers here in the philippines, too. but, you go ahead and make good at it. good luck and keep us posted of your progress so we can watch out for your book when it comes out in the market.

Writing is a great passtime and I enjoy it too. I have a great story, very much unfinished, but would actually like to see it published and hit the big screen someday. I find it hard to keep at it though, as I work and have 2 children. I have so many ideas running through my head with the story line, but often get writer's block when it comes to to put on hardcopy.

Do you get writer's block too? Do you reference to other people for help with your story line?

I started to write some children's books once, but I kept finding that other authors popped up with similar ideas and got them televised, so I gave up.
I like to write poetry though. Perhaps I ought to make a collection of my poems and see if they could be published.
I have a friend who had two books published a few years ago. They were kind of fantasy novels, and now he's writing some short stories.
I'd love to do it. Good luck with your book by the way. I'm sure it will be published and you won't look back! :-)

God I'm glad you decided that. I think writting a book is a deposit of soul and brain. I hav written some books so far. Never tried to publish them though. I don't think I want to make this effort.

Thanks for encouraging me,gabs8513.I think I will publish it.But I'm afraid of something.I put all my soul in writting it and if it is received coldly I will feel very dissapointed...Though I consider the plot interesting. It can be considered a book for children(all the kids I narrated to,loved it)but not only.

I've never really considered writing a serious book but I have lots of stories I've written for children over the years and I'm hoping next year to try and see if they are good enough to be published. Good luck with your book.

i hav once tried.. but i would say it take shear dedication to complete one which get published.. my advice would be dont write one if you can't spend much time on the book.. coz writing a book needs our full focus..

I have written a couple of books for myself and ghostwriting for others and I LOVE it. It does take a lot of work and only a bit of that is the job of doing the writing, editing, and getting it published. There is so much involved in promoting and not everyone becomes a bestseller overnight. I think the best thing to do if you are someone who is interesting in writing is to stick to writing what you enjoy and see how you like it before trying to make it into a serious career :)
