Excuses

I am a champion procrastinator. Right now I have laundry waiting to be hung out, the guest bed to strip, more laundry to start and food that needs to be put away. And many other tasks. Buuut, Hubby fell asleep watching baseball, so I'm sitting quietly on the couch and not moving I wish he fell asleep watching something else, but good excuse to sit and play on my phone Oh, I can reach my book and my coffee. No need to move.

Reading this makes me so happy I opted to stay single. I could never just stay still while someone falls asleep watching some sports event, I hate sports.

Ahhhh, ok. As for me, I don't need an excuse ..... I'll get around to that chore or another one of these days

There's no reason I need to sit here. Just reaching for an excuse

@rebelann The chores are always there. I seem to leave them until I have pressure. Someone coming to visit pressures me and makes me wish I kept up.

Sometimes we all just need a couple of hours to zone out and do something really relaxing and non productive.

I agree. House guests left and I am feeling a bit blue. Our family is too spread out!

I've procrastinated with dusting the house, it's a dire need that I dread doing.

I did laundry first thing this morning. I did all the sheets, pillow cases and bedding. Now I have a nice clean bed and a closet of clean clothes. Another chore is done for the week.

You are like Hubby. Up and at it. I started washing machine as soon as our guests left. But that's as far as I got.

You sounds kinda like me, lots of tasks and little will to get them done! Maybe I shouldn't have done so many laps at the lake.

Laps at the lake sound fantastic. More important than stuff that can be done later!

Living alone I often put things off because who is going to say anything? However I try to do my best so that the kittens don't make a bigger mess than they already do

We spend most of our time alone, so I feel it doesn't matter. Then someone is coming and there is no way to get it caught up.

Is your procrastination being that you don't want to do the task. That's how it is with me, although mostly I am pretty diligent with getting stuff done in a reasonable time. Ha, ha. Coffee check, book check, and phone check. Sounds like your all set, check

Well, you have a good reason to procrastinate. That I considerate of you to try to be quiet and not wake him up. You are a thoughtful wife...and you get the perks of having coffee and your phone nearby. I hope you relaxed and enjoyed that time.

This reminds me I need to change my stepsons sheets while he’s at his moms. I’d probably fall asleep from boredom if I watched baseball.

I would shut the television off if I wasn't interested in baseball, which I'm not, and see if he wakes up. If he does, tell him all the things that still need doing and ask him which tasks he plans to take on. When I get tired of feeling like I'm the only one that does anything, I outline what I see that needs doing and ask Pretty which things she feels like doing. If she accepts one of the tasks and does it, I'm happy. It beats me doing them all. I hope you enjoyed your rest this afternoon.

I have to admit, he does most of the stuff around here. He's an up and atem kind of person. I slowly ease into my day, then do the tasks in a leisurely manner. By the time he's napping, I've barely touched my list

ugh laundry, yes, always there waiting for us in many many forms. Sometimes needing washed, sometimes hung on the line and others, the worst, folding and put away.
