There are some stores like the smaller ones that give one very good service and ones like the bigger ones that do not. I find if new going to a store the clerks are not as helpful as when I have gone to a place many times and they have gotten to know me. Do you find the same thing in the stores or places you visit?

The service of the stores I go to is quite good. Actually, I buy from them for many years. I know the sales assistants.

@Beestring So, you have found stores you stick to and like and buy from all the time? I have moved out of my comfort zone and have had to go to new stores and at times until the clerks get used to me they are not so friendly or nice or helpful.

@Beestring I get it, but, we moved to an area where it is too far to go to the stores I used to go to before so had to start all over again.

Some workers in big stores are friendly and nice and some are not. Usually the owners in small stores try to be helpful because they are not employees, they only make money if they have customers.

@Hannihar Workers are paid no matter if the customers are happy or not.

@LadyDuck So so true. The sad thing is that the workers that are not nice the management defends them and not the customer.

Obviously, if they know you're their regular customer, they behave very good as compared to the other customers.

No, I’m treated the same in every store I go to. They check me out as quickly as possible and I’m out of the store.

@Hannihar They are very respectful. But everyone here is in a hurry and don’t want to wait in line. The checkouts try to satisfy the customers and check Out their purchases as fast as possible. It’s not an easy job.

@RubyHawk We have that here that they do not want to wait in a line so many say they were in line and go ahead of others that wait a long time. You are right it is not an easy job to deal with people and check them out. There are those that complain and others like to talk and then there are those in a hurry. You cannot please everyone so it is not easy.

@RubyHawk I hope you have enough stores you like to go to that treat you with the respect you deserve. It makes sense to me that if they check you out and do not treat you with respect I would leave too.

A lot of stores are like that. What I've noticed in almost but not all, they treat different types of customers differently. Not all clerks are the same too. Some are nice and some are rude. There are times some clerks treat richer, foreigners, a customer who speaks eloquently in a different language nicer than someone ordinary. They give more attention to someone who looks like he has money than someone who looks ordinary.

@Softncuddly You are right that now all clerks are the same. You are so right that there are clerks that are so helpful and nice and then there are those that do not want to be bothered. You have a very good point in what you wrote here.

@Softncuddly How sad it is that they cannot just respect you for no matter what clothes you wear.

@Hannihar thank you. I've noticed that when we go to the malls. They ignore us when we just look around you wear house clothes. But if you wear nice clothes and they hear you speaking differently the way they want to hear, they attend to you solely.
