Have you tried this Beef kare kare?

Germany
July 5, 2022 12:58am CST
Hello! Good Morning/Afternoon/Evening to all my dear mylotters I woke up early today at 6:44am. The weather is so nice. Sunny and cool air. I had toasted bread with butter and cheese together with my hot choco cappuccino for breakfast. Then went out for a nice morning walk. After that, do my regular cleaning and dancing exercise without a friend and mom but we will have another later Today, I will be preparing for dinner this favorite dish of mine. I learned from my grandmother First, you have to prepare the ingredients which is the Annatto sauce it is just a powder available at Amazon. You have to dissolve it with water then set it aside. Next you have to also mix water with glutinious rice flour and set it aside. Now, you fry the garlic, onion and ground peanuts. Next, put the beef and fry a little. Then, pour the Annatto sauce, glutinious rice flour and cup of water (optional: you can put some beef cubes) I just don`t put it because the beef meat itself will give the taste. Then, sprinkle it with salt and pepper. Let it boil until the beef is soft and ready. Then, put the string beans, bok choy and chopped egg plant and let it boil for 1 minute. Then serve it with steamed rice and shrimp paste How about you my dear mylotters? Have you tried this Beef Kare kare? What are you having for today? I hope you can share it with me here Have a great day, Happy mylotting and See you around Photo: google

Wow another favorite Filipino dish of mine. Although I do not know how to cook it but when they are available I would take that dish as part of my lunch or dinner. The way that you cook your kare kare was something like a Paella is since you added glutinous rice in it. Most of them here does not have the glutinous rice added when they cook it here.

@m_audrey6788 I guess it will make it very creamy with glutinous rice.

@m_audrey6788 I never used the Annatto sauce, annatto is banned here in Switzerland as potentially dangerous.

I do not know what we will eat this evening. When hubby gets up for the day we will have a cheese quesadilla, I think. I have fresh veggies to go with it. Cucumbers, tomatoes, onions. I do not feel like cooking much but we do need to eat.

We also often cook kare kare but I prefer mine with ox tripes ( animal stomach lining), I also like the gelatinous ox tail whenever it's available ( it's harder to cook and smelly if you don't know how to clean it ) I'm allergic to shrimp paste so I substitute fish sauce.

Oh nice but I don`t like ox tripes Yes. You can substitute it with fish sauce. I also do that when shrimp paste is not available
