Does age really changes your mind?

One way of controlling your mind is to practice doing so. It means you need to be awake, however. If you're just mindlessly going over and over the same story and not even knowing you're doing so, or worse, nodding your head in agreement with someone else's story (complaints, negativism, etc.) you probably don't have much of a chance. You need to spend some time each day watching your own mind to see exactly what it's doing, and how it's controlling you. Most people just don't want to put in that kind of effort. Additionally, you can do a meditation practice which is aimed at pulling you away from any and all (or most) thinking for awhile each day. Finding a good teacher and a technique you like is a good start. Most of us are a bit lazy in this area, and having a good mentor is a must.
For me, I have always had difficulty with meditation techniques where you simply sit and either watch the mind or empty the mind by focusing on some object (candle, for examply). I use movement -- very small and very slow movements -- and just focus on what you are doing. Moving just your fingers, hand and wrist is a place to start, very tiny and very slow movements, watching and noticing the movement, your skin, your palm lines, the temperature of the air on your skin, etc. Do this for 10 minutes (believe me, it can go by very quickly) each day, and your whole life can begin to change... Oh, by the way, you can switch to a leg or a foot, or your head, whatever.
Forgive my wordiness... I teach this stuff and believe in it so much, I just go a bit overboard sometimes.

Its true that with the age and experience we can control our mind and actions. As our actions are out of our mind only. We sometimes feel that we are grown up but we actually do some silly things but after those mistakes we do try to avoid those mistakes to happen again thus we control our mind and actions.
A child in his tender age when just 2 - 3 months then he is unable to control his hands and head, he can't even sit on his own but gradually he learns to sit, move his hands, to talk, to walk on hiw own without any support because he is growing with age and his mind is in his control. But, if you see a mentally retarded person he won't be able to control his actions at all as he has no control over his mind.
With yoga and mediation you may also control your thoughts, breaths, heart beats, pulses and even your mind.

Yes, as you grow old the experiences in life also changes. You begin to realise the difference between right and wrong. These experineces definately have a great affect on your mind.

as we grow older we learn more things and as we get older we sometimes miss some thoughts but we wont forget the experience's...
our mind does not depend on the age facor but its our brain tat makes us think tat we r getting older...
how do we control our mind?? well ppl say diff things to contol it like someone says its meditation..someone yoga..etc.. i dont know how exactly i can contol it coz everytime i try to contol it..my sense's overtake it...
lik i mean i dont wanna get angry but wat do to i cant contol it coz my sense's are quick to take on the action than my mind...some times i quickly react to things and then think later...
ie if u r hand gets on to fire it tends to move away from it at tat moment we dont think and process it..our sense's are quick enough tat they will quickly pull ur hand back..
so i mean to say is tat our sense's are very quick than our mind..

My mind still thinks I'm sixteen, my body has to keep reminding it that's no longer the case. But I do actually think that age is very much a state of mind. I know 20 year olds who already have "old" minds and 80 year olds who could give them a run for their money.
