Hello everyone. I hope your day is off to a good start. It is 73 degrees F and raining here at the Jersey Shore. We are supposed to have more of the same and only get up to like 78 later. I had another night of awful sleep, nightmares, and Benadryl. I finally got out of bed at 4:30 since I wasn't falling back asleep. I whipped up the milk chocolate ganache and assembled Bravetart's Devil's Food Chocolate Cake. I leveled the 3 layers of cake as best I could but they still kept slip-sliding and the cake was looking like the Leaning Tower of Pisa. I don't have any bamboo skewers around (no grill) so I stabbed one of my metal straws through the center to hold the cakes in place and then finished frosting them. It isn't pretty but it will taste delicious and that is the main point of all of this anyway. I will be at the treatment facility until 2-2:30 pm today as usual. I just checked my BP and it is currently 128/88. We shall see what it is when I get there and, more importantly, when I am about to leave. I have to call the cardiologist today to make an appointment.. I had planned to do that yesterday but my friend didn't leave until like 7 so his office was long closed at that point. I don't have anything big planned for the afternoon when I get back here. I might make a batch of ice cream. I also need to dig through my freezer to see what I have in there. I want to have some form of steak soon but I don't want to buy some if I already have it in the freezer. What's everyone else up to today?
