Actor Tony Sirico who is best known as "Paulie Walnuts" on The Sopranos has died at the age of 79. He played a character who was one of mob boss Tony Soprano's henchmen. He actually auditioned for the role of "Big Pu$$y" but the creator David Chase offered him the role of Paulie Walnuts instead. That was 100% the perfect part for him. Sirico's character and Michael Imperioli's character (Christopher aka "Chrissy" to Paulie) had amazing chemistry and they always stole the scenes that they appeared in together. The "Pine Barrens" episode (season 3 episode 11) is widely considered to be one of the best in the entire series prominently features those two actors/characters. I'd link to it but it is full of profanity that would no doubt offend many people. It is on YouTube, though, if anyone is interested.
Actor Tony Sirico, who is best known for playing henchman Peter Paul "Paulie Walnuts" Gualtieri on HBO's "The Sopranos," has died, according to his manager Bob McGowan.
