We all know the usual "I Voted"-sticker we (Americans) get when we cast our ballots---a little Red-White-&-Blue stars-&-stripes emblem next to the text.
Well, a district in New York has CHANGED its 'I Voted'-sticker to THIS one. They CLAIM it'll increase voter-turnout.
The Ulster County (New York) Elections Office put this contest on TikTok (for the county's 13- to 18-year-olds to design an 'I Voted'-sticker), and something-like 95% of Ulster County's inhabitants have 'voted' for its use (out of the 6 possible sticker-designs in the contest).
I've only been voting for a couple decades, but I never voted "in hopes of getting the 'I Voted'-sticker." I voted because it was my civic duty, and 'the sticker' was just a gracious gift from 'our benevolent overlords'

Yah No, I don't vote to get the cool sticker. Seems that Ulster County thinks their potential young voters are pretty shallow.

In America, your vote doesn't count if you don't vote (i.e. if you don't like one candidate more than you don't like the other, that one might get elected ... and you feel guilty, because you could've kept him out!)

@thelme55 Well, that's fine; I'm just reminding you that--if there's one of the candidates that you like less than the other candidate--it's probably 'your duty as a voter' to vote AGAINST the one you like less (to vote FOR the one that you also don't like, but that you like more).

@mythociate It doesn’t count here either when I don’t vote. I don’t feel guilty at all since I don’t like the candidates.
