It's 9:47 by my computer clock, and I am ready to go to bed. I figured out, from the check I got today, that the lady at the farm/outside daycare pays $16 an hour. That suits me fine. We spoke on the phone a few times today, and she said that after she got through organizing over at the daycare (which I imagine must have been a job ), she'd be by with my check. I waited, and waited, and....finally I called. She apologized because when she got home she'd fallen asleep. She said she'd come by and knocked, but she guessed it was too softly for me to hear it--and she'd left my check "on the railing". When I asked her "What railing?" she said she'd left the check "under the stick". I knew then that she'd gone to the apartment above me, as the stick belongs to the puppy. So, I went upstairs, got the check, and when I saw it was for $50 I figured out she paid $16 an hour. She said she probably wouldn't need me next week, but that when she did, she would pick me up and drive me to work with her, as we live in the same apartment complex and she's only a couple of buildings away from me. So, that all worked out. Yipes. Now it's definitely time for me to get to bed! "Good night" from here, and I'll "see" you myLotters when it's tomorrow (Sonday) here in California!
