My dinner was easy and delicious.

I made white rice today while I was having my lunch. I searched in the freezer and as I remembered, there were some shrimp left. Shrimp are expensive here, even the smaller ones, so that when I buy some frozen I make them last.
I had bunch onions (only use one), soy sauce, oyster sauce and white wine. And of course I had eggs so I made a fried egg.
I fried in butter the white part of the onion (diced) and placed there the shrimp. As it did not give too much water I then added some white wine, soy sauce and oyster sauce. I added a portion of rice and finally I put an old lid over the skillet.
I cut up the fried egg and added it when the rest was hot. I checked the soy sauce (had to add a bit more) and there it was.
Easy, inexpensive and delicious. What di you have for dinner?

Pretty and I made a barbecue chicken pizza. (She claims I put too much onion on it. I told her she could find something else to eat, then. She decided she liked the pizza just fine. )

I love onion. Tomorrow, whatever else I eat, I´m going to caramelize an onion for my morning bread.

@DaddyEvil There is a saying in Spanish that to show great love you would eat with him bread and onions. Once I got thinking about it, caramelized onions en julienne and ate them with warm bread. Yummy!

@marguicha Me, too! We put it into almost everything we cook.
Oh, that does sound interesting. I've never tried caramelized onions on bread before.

It was too bad. I didn't have decent dinner last night. I only had a couple of piece of bread.

@marguicha You are lucky then you have enough time to prepare your dinner. Mine was very late. I had it on my way home.

As I make my dinners, I find that I spend a lot less and eat very well.

That sounds a perfect summer dinner. I don´t like much hot meals with hot weather.

I only go to a restaurant when I´m invited to a very good one. And that does not happen too often.

For lunch/dinner we went to Outback Steakhouse. We had Sydney 'Shrooms for an appetizer. Then I had Alice Springs Chicken, bread, mashed potatoes, Brussels sprouts and a strawberry salad. It was OK.
