Hard to find job

July 19, 2022 2:18am CST
I come from Indonesia, and currently live in Indonesia. I graduated from high school 2 years ago, I've worked in a restaurant for about 8 months, after that I assessed myself. Finding a job in Indonesia is very difficult, especially for me who is only a high school graduate, there are many job vacancies, but the money generated is not enough to meet the needs, especially for me who lives in the capital. I've tried all ways to apply for jobs, I applied everywhere, I've had several interviews, but so far I haven't gotten any calls, I just don't want to be a burden on my family, I want to have my own income. my family is not a rich family, so I can't go to university, even though in my heart I really want to go to university, but I don't give up, I'm still trying to find a better job, please pray for me so I can get a job soon! thanks...

University is not the key to being rich. There are many ways to get rich without going to university. As the old saying "If you can't find a job, Create a job." Meaning you can start a small business. good luck.

Take a scholarship exam so you can enter college. Try to apply online jobs there are many. Try to search online jobs in Indonesia.

How old are you now, if I may know? Currently what skills do you have? To have income, it is not necessary for you to work in an office or to be an employee. I cannot give you suggestions until I know what skills you have.

@Valeale, you're still young, take a scholarship exam or apply as a student assistant in a college or university. There is allowance for that.

@Valeale Are you lucky to qualify for a lot of surveys? Sometimes I try survey after survey and get disqualified.

Have you considered building an online business? I'm looking for people to partner with - I'm not selling a course. If you are interested, please check my profile to see my website. Even if its not for you, please tell me if you find the information helpful All the best to you, whatever you decide to do.

You are still young as I read in one of the comments that you're 19 years old. It's better to take an education loan and go to the university for higher studies so that you may get a good job further. It may be that you're not getting a job because you lack the skills and qualifications which are required to get a job in your country.

I'm sorry that you're having trouble finding a job, but please don't give up. Are there any classes you can take online that are cheaper?

Never let jobs be the end all to be all. Earn what you can, live frugally, save and invest, and usually the rest takes care of itself. Granted, my perspective comes from being in the United States which is very different than a country like Indonesia. But even in poor countries people become rich, and there is always a reason for that. It's all in what you do. Not what you make. Best of luck to you in life and your pursuits.

Don't give up. Just keep looking and eventually, something will turn up. Make sure in your interviews that you tell the person that you're eager to learn and you are willing to start at the bottom and learn as you go. Can you get another job at a restaurant and save some of that money for university?

It can be really hard to find a job especially when the employers looking for your experience and diploma and even skills that you have ...You should continue dreaming to continue finishing a degree. It'd be a ticket for you to find a better job...While waiting to make that happen, you may learn some new skills by enrolling in a technical vocational courses. Hope you will get a job soon.

Technical courses are better as they will guarantee you to get a job. There are many technical colleges here where that have campus interviews where various representatives of the companies come and appoint students for the job.

The job crisis is felt all around the world. Don’t put all your eggs in one basket. Try working a few other jobs that can develop some skills. Also the online job market is the biggest now, though very competitive, still I recommend you try it and good luck !
