I am so very frustrated! I have been trying very hard to find another job because I am struggling and my current job is paying enough. I was searching for jobs on Upwork.com and got messaged that I'd managed to nab an interview only for them to scam me and screw up my bank account. Like what makes someone think a JOB SEEKER has money to pay out for someone to hire them. Scammers are the lowest of the low, they are scum! Going after people who don't even have money and trying to get large sums of money out of them, it makes me SICK!! The joke was on them though, I don't even have the amount of money they wanted me to send. And the fake deposit they sent to get access to my account immediately alerted my bank's fraud department and they locked my account down so they couldn't take anything else out. And the money the deposit the sent is now being removed from my account by my bank and being traced back to them, HA!

I hate them too. They really are scum. Coming after people who are broke and trying to make money and trying to take the last little bit of money they have left away from them. Why don't you go scam some rich people and leave us working folks alone?

I’m glad your bank is on the ball. There’s a fee for ID recovery I pay my credit union every month. It’s nominal (less than two dollars), but if you get to the point where you need it, it’s absolutely priceless.
I hope things get sorted out without you having to do things like get a new account number or things like that.

I hope I get it fixed too. Luckily there's no fee for the service at my bank. I think it is something that is taken away if you get a certain type of checking account and link it to a certain type of savings, which I did. I don't have very many fees because of the accounts I got and the promo or whatever it was that they waive them for this type of account and having it linked to a savings and all that stuff.

@sickofbeingick22 I ended up having the account the scammers tried to get into closed by my bank because when they took the scammers fake mobile deposit out of my account it was overdrawn and they said you have to pay in person and if you can't we will close it, and I couldn't get there in person in time to pay before the closed it, since the day they said to pay by was before my next payday. So now I am going to get another account at another bank because they're not allowing me to open another one at the same bank yet. I did find one with the same protections as the previous bank so that if someone tries to do the same thing again the deposit won't be allowed and it will be flagged as a scam and locked until I come in person to fix it or something.

We also have some fake recruiters here, offering jobs with high pay and no experience required. Their target is students looking for jobs in summer vacation.

They do too much with these kinds of scam recruiting people. And its somehow always people in desperate need of more money they target and not someone who could afford to lose some money. I hate them.
