How come officers' wives always speed on base?

I know a lady right now who consistently goes 10-15 MPH over the speed limit on our base. She doesn't use blinkers either which just adds to the irritating factor. I've thought about reporting her to teach her a lesson, since apparently PMO won't, but I don't have the time to schlep my kids to military traffic court. Anyway, what makes her better than the rest of us? The blue sticker? Puh-lease.

well, I have to say that it is not just officers wives who are going too fast and not using blinkers. In the world outside the base there are plenty of drivers who are just completely inconsiderate and dangerous. But I would guess that when you see an officer's wife speeding you take more notice of it because of the postion of authority her husband has. My guess is that there are plenty of lower ranked wives who drive like maniacs too.
