Simple Food

One simple food from my childhood that I still like to eat today is warm or toasted split bagels with butter spread on top. When I lived in the city with my parents some years before I married, a fun thing to do was visit the local bagel shop and buy freshly made bagels. When we got home, I enjoyed eating a warm onion bagel with that squirt Parkay butter. Now I will buy bagels premade at the grocery and heat them in the toaster and spread regular butter on it. It is very simple and tasty. What simple foods do you like?

I like the same but with cream cheese. I like whole wheat bagels but they're always out of those.

Oh yes, cream of wheat. I do like that. I have not had it in awhile. I used to buy the instant that are in the individual packets that you add boiling water to.

When I was young I had an uncle that worked at a bagel shop. So I got all the bagels I could possibly want. Buttered noodles with just parmesan

I was never a huge fan of bagels particularly. I like to simply open a package of ham, fold a piece of cheese in it and eat it. lol

Yes, when I was young living with my parents, there was a fresh bagel shop near by. You could actually watch them bake them. It was such a treat to buy them and eat them soon after being baked. My favorite was the onion bagel.

I love bagels but only the true deli bagels. I also love pizza and ice cream. I don't need fancy foods...I love my spiced jelly beans too.

I have only eaten bagels once and that was years ago. Something that never seems to make it to the shopping list
