Paramedics who are employed by the Prince George Fire Department (PGFD) were driving on a road in Capitol Heights on Thursday afternoon when they saw a dog running on the same road when the dog who fled from his owner by jumping out of the window of her owner's auto while her owner was assisting another driver who needed help from the owner of the dog.
The dog whose name was not mentioned got caught in a fence when the paramedics who did not have anyone who needed medical assistance stopped their ambulance to free the dog from her trap on the fence.
After the paramedics were able to free the dog from her trap in the fence, they took her to a local animal hospital where she was treated for a broken hip.
The good news is that the dog will not down since her injury is not serious enough to cause her extreme suffering.
The paramedics then received a lost dog alert from the owners of the dog. The paramedics did contact the owner of the dog that they can pick up their dog at the animal hospital on Friday afternoon.
I am sure that the owners of the dog are grateful that the firefighters who were working as paramedics who were also working as firefighters did their job to save their dog from suffering being stuck in a fence underneath a hot sun.

Well, a happy ending all around, but boy, silly doggy to do something like that. Sometimes I wonder what these animals are thinking. I mean, why jump out of the car and run off????

That is what I am thinking why would a dog jump out of an auto just to leave her owner and take a walk on the road?

That is true since I cannot stand seeing a dog needing help when they are in danger or need help.

@Deepizzaguy I don’t like to see any animal or person needing help.

@RubyHawk The same on my part. I enjoy helping people without any expectation of a reward.

The dog does not seem like it is suffering much there. Maybe it had just given up

@Deepizzaguy I´m very glad that it could be saved. Although there was no reason for him to have been wandering near that fence

@marguicha That is true since we would think that dogs have good common sense thinking of getting near fences.

That is the likely scenario of what happened to the dog.

The most likely scenario since she was injured when she fled from her owner when the owner went to assist another driver in trouble on the road.

People cannot leave a window open enough for a dog to jump out of. I'm sorry that the dog broke a hip and was stuck under the fence. I'm glad he was found.

That is true since dogs by nature like to take walks on a road than being stuck inside of an auto that is in a parking position.
