the placebo method it's use in the hospitals on pacients that can get seek and need special treatment. the effect i more positiv to the older people that to the youth one. what u know about it?

The placebo effect (Latin placebo, "I
shall please"), first mentioned in 1955
by Henry K. Beecher, M.D. (Beecher 1955)
and also known as non-specific effects
and the subject-expectancy effect, is
the phenomenon that a patient's symptoms
can be alleviated by an otherwise
ineffective treatment, since the
individual expects or believes that it
will work. Some people consider this to
be a remarkable aspect of human
physiology; others consider it to be an
illusion arising from the way medical
experiments were conducted.

wow. u did you're homeworks very good. are u on college? im am at the psichology. u find out sonme great stuf. the placebo effect it's a true discovery of the humanity. the power of the mind have no limit in what we can do. i think that it's a great way to cure people.
