Kuy Lohn who was working in his line of work as a huckleberry picker in Idaho who went missing on Thursday in Boundary County Idaho is one lucky man since he had the good fortune of some hikers who heard the story about him missing were able to identify him.
Kuy who was also camping as well as picking berries when he went missing on Thursday.
Kuy did spend two nights at the camp with the company of a dog that kept him company on Thursday evening when the hikers saw him and contacted the authorities where he was seen,
Kuy was traveling to higher ground on Brussard Mountain with a black Labrador retriever named Lucky who is owned by a friend of Kuy.
A helicopter from Kalispel named Two Bear Air Rescue answered the call to rescue Kuy where he was staying before dawn on Friday morning when Kuy was rescued.
The good news is that Kuy at the time of the rescue was happy to be rescued by the helicopter crew after he was rescued the next day after he was reported missing by his colleagues.
This story is kind of odd since even though I have no experience as a huckleberry picker, I have the impression that huckleberry pickers do work in groups at the same time.

Kuy most likely got lost when he left his work mates during the day by working hard on the job to the point he lost track of where everyone was at the time of his work shift being done.

@Nakitakona I can make a guess since the source did not give out many details of what happened.

I wonder why he can't find his way home? Or was he isolated where he cannot walk? But it's good that kind people reported Kuy and the helicopter crew responded readily.
Have you noticed that the name of the helicopter and the rescued man all begin with a K? Kalispel and Kuy.
May their tribe increase.

It is a coincidence that the names of the helicopter, the lost man and the city start with the letter K.

@Jenaisle My error of calling out the helicopter first letter starting with the latter K.

That is true since many rescuers feel happy finding a missing person alive since they feel that did a great job serving their communities.

The helicopter crew as well as the persons that saw Kuy in the mountains did a wonderful job of rescuing him so quickly.

Police and rescue teams feel better rescuing someone who gets lost better than reporting the bad news to the relative of the missing person as deceased.
