Well, it has been a while since I was last on here. So long ago I can even remember when I was on. Life has just been a little bit crazy and busy. I did some camping and quite the old job and still have a couple interviews set up. I had had enough of the BS and the crappy cost of living increase was a joke. Oh, did they try and sell it as something special too. The district manager came out to the store to tell us all about it and take us in one by one and let us know how special we were and so important to the company. It was so nice for the company to do this for us. They are really trying to take care of us. He also said our yearly review/raise would be moved back to July of 2023, well mine was supposed to be in Oct 2020 so now it is moved back due to a cost-of-living raise. Why do I feel like I just got screwed? Then he tells me how much of a raise it was. Dead serious I asked him “are you kidding me, is this a joke?” It wasn’t, it was what we all are getting, all the same thing. So, I know since January the cost of living is said to have gone up about 5.9% and the raise, they offered us was a whole 3.2% and now I have to wait a year from now to get another raise. In my opinion, that raise should not move my date back this is a cost of living raise not a performance raise. They have done this to me twice now. In 2 years, there I have never been given a performance raise, not even a performance review other than my 90 one. After he talked to everyone one on one, he called us all together to give some sort of pep talk. Well in that time from my meeting and this pep talk I had done the math and got even more annoyed and aggravated. He starts talking about how the company values us and we are what makes the company so great, and we are the reason they stay in business. You know all that crap they try to feed you to make you feel better. I interrupted him and said, “how much of a raise did the CEO get” and after a moment of silence I said you know what doesn’t matter, he can have my raise too…I quit would you like to walk me out or should I just go? After a short silence of everyone staring at me, I turned and walked away to get my things from the breakroom. My manager caught up to me and ask if I was serious and I told her yes, I’m out unless you really want me to stay for a 2 week notice but I’m guess the district manager is not going to want me to after saying that in front of the whole department. We talked for a couple minutes and out the door I went. I had, had enough and that was an insult to me. I already was offered another job at $2 more an hour but the hours just didn’t work out and they said if different hours open, they will call me. Not worried about it yet. So that has been my excitement lately. Sorry, that was a little longer than I thought it would be.

Welcome back, I was concerned not seeing you around. Well, you were right to quit, that is not the way to treat workers.

@Bensen32 I remember that there were several things that you did not like at all about your job. I know that there is a moment that we must take a decision.

Aww thank you. Yeah, just been getting things done and relaxing when I can. I was just sick of it all and you know of course there is more small things that were just getting to be but I guess this was just the last straw and I had to get out.
