Do you have dreams that you cannot forget?

As you know, dreams are usually forgotten or forgotten after some time. They often appear irrational. I had many dreams in my life, both cool and not cool. It turns out that three of them are very memorable to me. Some when I was a child, after the death of my grandfather, some in my teenage years for my grandmother and one in my adult life for my child. Perhaps I remember those related to important people in my life? Do you have or had that too? Any dream do you remember in particular?

Yes I have one reoccurring dream. It’s all of my immediate family and I, and we are running from something (can never figure out what) and then we reach a cliff. On that cliff there is a chopper waiting for us and we get on board and fly away safe and sound. The premise of this dream is always the same (we run from an invisible ‘enemy’ get on a chopper and get to safety) but details vary. Sometimes we run thru the woods sometimes it’s a clear green hill. Sometimes our chopper gets shot at with arrows sometimes no. It’s very creepy this dream.

Your description really shows that this is such a terrible dream. And, in addition, he returns, although the details differ. I hope that one day it will pass and you will not dream about it.

@Gguusia thank you. I hope so too. I’ve had it since I was 15 years old and I’m 32 now. It’s time for this dream to retire lol

Not the details. Just remember the people who appeared in my dreams.

Personally, I also have it so often that I do not remember the details of the dream, but I know who was in it.

I don't really remember any of my dreams. Some will stick with me for a little bit after I wake up but not much longer than that.

I tend to forget the individual dreams, but the themes do repeat, and I remember these. I am often walking down a street, in a building, or in a park, looking for a toilet. Another theme, is that I am on a train, and then I check my wallet, and I have misplaced my ticket, or I have forgotten to buy one, and so I stress over that. Still, another theme is that every time when I buy myself a new car, I then dream that it gets stolen, or I am involved in a car accident, with my new car. So, the details vary, but the themes remain similar. I record the dreams that I remember, and after that, they are forgotten, about until I might reread them again sometime. Dreams do appear irrational, at times, but they can usually be sorted out, with a little thought about them. Here is an irrational dream that I had last night, for example. I was dreaming that I was in a large toilet, in some old building, but the floor was already rotting, and worms seemed to be crawling through it, and eating the mushy soft, wood too, and which had holes in it also. A duck was in there too, and I gave it a worm to eat, wondering too, why it was not quick enough to get a worm itself before it, the worm, crawled away again, through the wood. There was a big chunk of ham there too, and I asked the duck why it was not eating that. It replied, "I have no teeth." So, I broke a bit of the ham off, and I gave it to it then too, which it then ate. Meaning? This dream is about my disposing of bad thoughts, and letting the natural attrition process get rid of them for me, but at the same time, not ducking away from doing this self-analysis myself, but periodically examining my current beliefs, and thoughts, for their continuing usefulness to me too.
