If you were given the chance, would you go back to the past or go to the future? Why?

If there was a time travel machine and you were given the chance, would you go back to the past or go forward to the future? Why?
This is a hypothetical question but the answer could help you understand yourself better, I hope.
For me, I would like to go forward to the future. Why? So that I could do whatever adjustments or corrections I have to do in the present to make my future better.
The past has already passed and I don't have major mistakes I have done in the past, so it's the future for me.
What about you?.
What would you choose? Past or future?

I choose to go back in the past. I want to correct a lot of things in my past that would affect my present. I'm scared to go into the future as I know that time my parents and aunts and uncles will be old or already passed away and me and my siblings are senior citizen already

It would depend on the rules. If I am allowed to change things I would go back and make sure my son didnt drive that last day.

If I could reconnect with my life in Latvia and my soul mate I would definitely go to the past,

I want to go back to my past to correct my mistakes. I should haven't done those. I was misled by my own beliefs about something which I can't declare here but it's all about love What a sorry mess that my present is very much affected and may carry over to the future and beyond.

I would like to go back to the past since I like the era where the technology was in its beginning. I look at it like having the best of the current use of technology and the prices of food and gasoline were low.

I would go back to the past, study hard and become a good doctor and serve the people as well as earn well.

@Jenaisle No, I am not a doctor. I was a teacher and am a home maker now.

I will stay in the present, I am grateful for what has happened. and if I go back in time it will change everything that has happened. and if I go to the future it will be not fun because I already know what will happen in the future

I would have to say, I'd give the opportunity a hard pass. My past struggles shaped who I am today, and changing even one thing, or reliving it, would change who I am. There's a slim chance I could come back stronger, or lose a part of myself. Going forward in time, there are things I could learn I'm just not ready for.

@Jenaisle I know, and quite frankly, I like the person I am.

I am satisfied with the life I have now, but I would be honest, I will go back to college days. And there, I will go back to church.

I wouldn't go into MY past to correct anything. I have the desire to see the great history we often read about with my own eyes. It is fascinating to me.
However, having the flexibility to jump both past and future would be magnificent!!
