Edible Playdough

The other day, we tried something new- edible playdough. Let me just say, whoever came up with this recipe needs to be thrown into prison lol. The only person who could eat this is someone trying to get high blood pressure. Also, the texture was too sticky. I looked up some ideas on how to decrease the salt concentration and fix the texture. It still tasted absolutely disgusting and the texture was worse. So, we decided to roll it and bake it and see if we could create something, anything. For the record, this project was a complete fail. I guess it was a learning experience. The good thing was, I had so much fun with my students. They are a great bunch of kids.
Does anyone know a good recipe for edible playdough- one that tastes good and has the right texture for using with cookie cutters and creating art.

I remember doing this when my kids were younger we never tried to make anything from I think it's the memories that were created was the best benefit from it. Would be interesting to find a descent one though I would consider maybe making doggie treats but definitely reducing the salt
