Hello again, myLot !

After I posted my "Good Later Morning" post, my computer decided not to work--at least, not to let me get onto the internet. So, I went grocery shopping this morning, as I was out of a few essentials like milk. I contacted a few places to see if they were hiring and went to get an application from a place a few streets away from my old house. I went and got the application, then decided to walk a couple of blocks to the old neighborhood, where I stopped and talked to one neighbor, then went down and saw my former next door neighbor (visiting with their dog in the garage for several minutes before actually knocking). As I passed my old house, I saw the garage door was open. It sure looks different in there with a strange car and without all my Dad's tool stuff. After I got through cuddling with the dog, I knocked on the door to the house, and was invited in. We talked for about fifteen or twenty minutes, and then the lady offered me a ride home (which I was grateful for, since I wasn't looking forward to walking home). After I got home, I texted one of my nieghbors who is good with computers and told him about my computer not letting me on line. He came over around 6 p.m., tried some things and looked at some wires. He pointed out a red light on my tower that I hadn't even noticed before. Whatever he tried to do first, it didn't work, so he said he'd go get a cable from his apartment and come back. If the cable didn't work, I'd have to call my internet provider. After a few minutes he came back, put the new cable in, and thankfully, my internet was back. I guess whatever cable I had was "going out" 'cause my computer's been acting weird for a while. When he left, he said that he and his girlfriend would be by with their dogs later if they could make it. I always enjoy seeing their dogs--they're both sweethearts. I am tired--and I may or may not go to bed early. The application that I got today will have to wait to be filled out tomorrow when I'm awake. I hope that your morning/afternoon/evening/etc. has gone well in your part of myLot land !
