And the electricians work on...This is day 3 (8/12). They are continuing to pound and drill and make all kinds of noise in the basement; and they are keeping us from doing other things! They probably have at least one more day of work. Then the gas people are coming out; and then they will turn the power off for 3-4 hours while they hook everything up.
Breakfast - None
Lunch - Meals on Wheels - Turkey, mashed potatoes, peas, cranberry juice and pears
Dessert/Snack - Chocolate chip muffin and decaf coffee
Dinner - Chicken tenders and potato salad
What did you have to eat yesterday?

There are times when pounding and drilling and making noise are good things. This would not be one of them of course, and entirely different circumstances. But I hope the work gets done soon for you and then you will just have to wait for a power outage to get to use it.
For dinner I made braised pork loin chops with garlic butter broccoli. It was good. We slathered on Ranch dressing this time. Usually we put on a dollop of Miracle Whip.

Dinner sounds good. I told hubs that the power will probably NEVER go out again...but at least we are prepared!

@porwest Yup! The resale value on the house should be up a little because of the installation.

It's now 8/13 afternoon here. Love your meal and dessert. I like turkey and mashed potatoes. Chocolate chip muffin is my favorite too. I plan to have steamed chicken with black mushroom (another Chinese dish) for dinner tonight.

I had cereal for breakfast, leftover spaghetti for lunch and pork stir fry for dinner with brownies for dessert. We don't eat dessert every night, but we felt like it last night.

Thanks. 4 days seems like forever when you have other things to do!

We have a ranch house that's about 100 feet wide. They have to run wiring/piping to the gas main at the other side of the house. I personally think it shouldn't take 4 days; but what do I know?
