Canadian/ American ps I am new

When you live in another country does that mean you know nothing about another country? I disagree, I think you can know plenty and I also think that you can have an opinion that can be valid and make sense and not come across as you being crazy or delusional. It's actually quite comical when your friend in the other country thinks your stupid when it comes to their country especially when they think because you live in Canada you must only live in igloos and better yet if your a border city you must be a suburb of the United states of America. No matter how many times you argue that point it is so much a waste of your time. I find that Canadians seem to know more information about the US then they know about us Canadians and tend to give their strange opinions of how they think we live or we all must live in Toronto or Vancouver LOL I laugh at that one now and then. OR wait for it....... We all must speak french! And only drink a certain type a beer lol I have a great story of how these guys crossed the border and I was working down town at the time and it was so hot out, the dead of summer really. They jumped out of their car and proceeded to ask me where the ski slopes were. I gave them one look and proceeded to say up the road and on your first left LOL COME ON really?? They actually thanked me and jumped back in their car and started to drive exactly where I told them to go lol PS they so deserved that ! Don't think I hate Americans because I have family there and I happen to have very good friends there and I have been all over the USA and happen to fall madly in love with an American back in my day. I just think life is funny how we all talk to each other that's all!

Oh, my... so that's your idea of hospitality to someone just asking for help finding something? Interesting. I'm glad not all Canadians are like you. You do realize you aren't the only Canadian on myLot, right? And they ARE our friends and give valid information when asked a dumb question. It's true that not all people from the US know/understand things that happen/belong to Canadians but does that mean they should be treated like dumb bunnies? Those guys were asking for help and you sent them on a wild goose chase. Imagine the image of Canadians you planted in their minds and how much more misinformation you caused to be spread about Canadian's and how they treat people. I worked as a clerk in a motel for years. When someone, from Canada, China, Japan or Mexico came through looking for tourist-y things, I did my best to help them... Those people had no idea about people and places in the US but I didn't make fun of them. Everybody needs a helping hand once in a while. Anyway, welcome to myLot. I hope you find the people you'll meet here friendly and as helpful as you could want us to be.

@myadventureneverends Nope... just giving my opinion about what you've written. Well, in the US, you can find ski slopes year round. How were the tourists supposed to guess that Canadians can't make snow? If we have it, surely the tech isn't so new that Canadians won't have it. I never said I didn't like your writing. You're reading things into what I wrote that weren't there. There's a reason I think people should avoid Fb. Oh, you should meet and talk with pony ( @TheHorse) here on myLot. He's a psychologist who specializes in children and their problems. He's a really great guy!

It looks like I stepped on toes here, well I tend to write on the satire side of things and plus did you miss the part about how Americans treat Canadians and I didn't even get into the whole story of it all really. That whole ski thing was when I was a teenager like maybe 18 so I barely remember how it all went down and come on it was summer where were ski slopes supposed to be in a very flat city? Anyway it's okay if you don't like my writing, no one is perfect and honestly I have read much worse on the internet and Facebook feeds then what I posted today. I am now a 41 year old women who is a vey kind hearted soul. I work in the Mental heath and addictions field and I am very proud of what I do . I just wish you had read the whole post and focused on the good things that I did say especially about the part how I love my American family and friends and past love from many moons ago who was actually a first class Sargent in the your United States army that did 3 tours. I am extremely proud to call him a friend even still to this day. So yup. I love to write a bunch of stuff as it gets me out of my head sorry it's not up to your standards.

Well, most people visiting Switzerland believes that as soon as they cross the border they can find sky slopes. Sorry for them, but here in the south they will find no snow most of the year round.

I know that you all don't live in Toronto or Vancouver. A whole bunch of you live in Moose Jaw, too.

You are just the type of American that made me want to write such a blog in the first place

Some people are just dumb no matter what country is involved... Had someone ask if my boyfriend being Brazilian means he is from Mexico and speaks Spanish... he's Brazilian he is from Brazil... He speaks Portuguese... Most common one I get from Americans is if I know *insert name here* in Sydney... No, thats not, anywhere near me... Or if we all eat kangaroo meat and drink their milk...

"Some people are just dumb no matter what country is involved." Indeedy! If stupidity hurt, some people would cry all the time.
