Are you a side, back, or stomach sleeper?

When I started having problems with my sciatic nerve a few months ago, I really had to rethink my sleeping position. My doctor said it was best if I slept on my back, as side and stomach sleeping are hard on the sciatic nerve. Since I've slept on either side for as long as I remember, it was a hard process to learn to sleep on my back.
As I would lay there in the night on my back, the temptation to sleep on my side in my usual quasi-fetal position was so strong! And if I did give into temptation and slept on my side, I would pay for it in the form of sciatic nerve pain most of the next day! Well, the sciatica is now gone (thank goodness), and I'm back to my good old side sleeping.
How about you? What position do you sleep in?

I always slept on my stomach when I was young because I read books in bed at night and the most comfortable position was with my book open in front of me. For the last ten years, I've started sleeping either on my right side (If I'm falling asleep while watching a YT video.) or on my left side (If I'm reading an ebook on my phone set on a phone stand.).
I've gained weight in the last two years so have developed a pain along my side, depending on which side I'm sleeping on. (I don't move while I'm asleep, so whichever side I go to sleep on is the side I wake up on when I wake up. My daughter told me I'm weird because I don't move while I'm asleep. )

I start off on my back, but eventually shift to one side or the other. Sleeping on my back irritates my acid reflux.

@gtdoss Yes, seems gravity works against you in that position

Usually side, but I will sleep on my back when I can. I often wake up on my back.

I guess doctors say that sleeping on your back is the best position as far as wear and tear on your body.

@gtdoss I know as a kid I used to sleep on my stomach - maybe mainly to keep warm or feel secure. My kids do that now. But I don't know when that stopped. Since then and for many years, I side slept without even really thinking about it. With the aches and pains that were happening, especially to my shoulders, the back sleeping became the best solution.

A little bit of everything. It just depends on the mood and if I'm working around the cat.

@gtdoss It's true. He'll find any natural grove to cling to.

Come to think of it, I sometimes end up on my back while sleeping. But once I'm awake, I promptly turn on one of my sides again.

I want a stomach sleep when I go to sleep because it's comfortable for me
