Favorite Disco Song

Yes, I'm old enough to remember going to the disco on Friday and Saturday nights. There were certain songs that made me want to immediately get up and dance. My favorite of all, though, was "Ring My Bell" by Anita Ward. That had me up and dancing in a heartbeat! I don't like to reminisce on the hangovers I would have because of all the boozing at the disco, though. They were a real bummer!

@gtdoss Yes it was wasnt it? The young woman who played opposite John Travolta was a friend of mine.

Oh, that really takes me back to a very good place! The Bee Gees, with their awesome talent, were in the right place at the right time as far as disco goes, not to mention their songs being featured in Saturday Night Fever, the ultimate disco movie!

For the most part, I didn’t like disco. And I certainly never went out to a disco to dance.
However, “I Will Survive” by Gloria Gaynor is a great song. Not a great “disco” song, a great song, period.
