Did You Ever Have a Hair Monstrosity?

My mother had curly hair, and when she was a child, my grandmother would shape it into ringlets just like Shirley Temple. She was adorable! However, when I was a baby and toddler, my hair was a little wavy but otherwise straight. No Shirley Temple child for my mother. So my mom would perm my hair as a toddler (2 through 4 years old) to try to get it to be curly. I look like a clown in my little girl pictures, LOL! Oh, well. What's funny is that, now that I'm getting older, my hair is going crazy curly! Do you remember or have pictures of any weird haircuts or perms that a relative might have given you?
