Can we really do it? I say that I can, but then turn around and criticize myself the next second for stupid little things like not becoming what my family might have expected. My parents always said that I could be whatever I wanted to be and I guess at a young age, I took it the wrong way. They planted the seed and I picked up the need to be perfect.
And needing to be perfect is kind of hard to live with...
What I did today is go for a walk this morning wearing clothes that didn't make me look like a supermodel. lol And there are a lot of women I pass on the street who are doing just that! Just realized that I didn't have to!! And I enjoyed every minute of it!

I can relax all the time because no one has ever mentioned finding me attractive lol
The only compliments I used to get were about my hair and most of that has gone now

I think about the Bible’s command to forgive your brother, seventy times seven times. The hardest person to forgive, however, is yourself. Trying to learn to do that is a major process, but rewarding!

I am certainly trying! And you are right about it being easier to forgive others than it is yourself!

Glad you are enjoying being comfortable with what you wear not caring whether you look like a super model or not. That has never been a concern of mine since I was still very young. And when I went to a university known for it's extreme liberality, where students can wear anything (majority of the universities here require a uniform or a dress code), even pajamas when going to class, I was even more influenced to be more comfortable with whatever I wear.

Sadly though, it's still the first thing that I think about when I get out of bed! :( I will have to start scheduling at least one pj day each week! I do have to start thinking of this pampering thing I keep hearing about ;)

Walking around looking and acting like a supermodel gives a false impression and false hope to other girls and women. It is better to be yourself - super model for them instead.

Perfection was always stressed in my household too. It's hard to live up to. When you realize that you don't have to is the greatest feeling.

I find confidense is attractive rather than what the person actually looks like .I mean you cant really see what someone looks like when you are really close lol like with your lips locked (like that happens lol)

I never have wore things in trend. I don't care if it's not in style. Yeah trying not to be hard on yourself is tough.

I wear clothes and look at the mirror and wear whatever suits me. I of course could not become what I wanted to.

Being in yourself really matters. Forget whatever says about. That's the best thing we can do to give important or value about ourself.

I have never been perfect so its not an issue .I quite pity people who are really good looking because they must be sad when it disappears if they are only known for their beauty

You made a good point. When my dark hair started to have more white... well, I was not in a good frame of mind! I have decided to just live with it. :)

Being a perfectionist is challenging. You need to pamper yourself once in a while.
