Brigada Eskwela: Extending helping hands

Earlybthis morning some members of La Carlota 1st branch, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints spend their half day at Ayungon Elementary School in Brigada Eskwela activities. Brigada Eskwela is a national acrivity the Department of Education to ready the school for the opening of classes on the 22nd day of August. The activity may include the following: cleaning the pathway, cutting grasses, repairing broken chairs, repainting of the cjassroom of class adviser, among others.

@everwonderwhy The youths were cleaning the porch. Some of the adults were repainting the plant boxes and the rest were trimming the plants and cutting the grasses. And I took the video while they're working. You may watch them in my humble YouTube channel if you want to.

@Nakitakona, yes their teacher was my friend. They're so excited of 400 pieces of ball pens and 200 pieces notebooks.

I guess we were involved on this many years ago. It is really physically tiring joining this activity but it feels good that you contribute something to school for free.
