Not many heartwarming stories to share lately. But I have one for you. I saw this photo on the news. A TN State Trooper stopped to help this little dog beside the interstate. The weather is almost 90 degrees.
He first gave her some bottled water he had in his car. It took her a few minutes to trust him, she finally drank a lot of water. Then he got a cookie from his car, and she ate it. He got this chair and umbrella to just sit with her awhile until she can trust him.
After she trusts him, he will take her to the local shelter. Hopefully the owner will claim her/him. Such a nice photo to see. Especially with all the other drama going on these days. Had to share a smile.
Photo courtesy of local tv station.

@CarolDM I worked really hard today at work and also had my quarterly review (which was excellent) and by the time that I read this post I was so mentally tired that it was making me feel physically tired. Reading your post was just perfect timing.

That is a nice story, thanks for sharing! It is nice to see some positive stories instead of all the negative things the media throws in our face on a daily basis.
Did you see the story from the Little League World Series, where the pitcher threw a wild pitch and hit the batter in the head? It was such a heartwarming story. The pitcher was incredibly shaken up for hitting the batter, and after the batter went to first base, he could see how shaken up the pitcher was. So the kid walked over to the mound and hugged the pitcher and told him it was okay, and he was doing a great job. A perfect example of sportsmanship!

@CarolDM I am very impressed with the Little League organization. I don't usually follow the Little League World Series that closely at all, but since this story intrigued me so much, I've been paying more attention this year. And I don't know if Little League does this every year, but their media campaign this year during the LLWS focused on the positive sportsmanship aspects of the game, and they have been pumping up heartwarming story after heartwarming story. Great to see them focusing on sportsmanship over competition and the desire to win.

@CarolDM And this made me smile indeed! Thank you so much for sharing this beautiful story. The photo is just smile worthy. Put a tear in my eye too because it always gives me hope in humanity when I see people helping one another and animals. I'm so grateful for that man for helping and caring for this beautiful little dog.

That really needs a lot of patience. Because if we force them, they certainly would act defensively. That was very nice of him to have the patience.

That poor little dog. I hope that the owner either claims him or he gets adopted. So many stories about abandoned and lost dogs. :-( Thanks for sharing this positive story.
