Feeling Heartbroken

Miami high school classroom

After feeling happy of the differential I received, entered the unexpected feeling of loneliness. I'm lonely this moment, i fact I shed my tears can't help it. What is the reason behind? Because we're on WFH, on online classes I don't know what's going on with my co teachers. I've just learned awhile ago that 2 of my colleagues resigned from work. They're full time regular faculty with standard rate as Ph.D's. They're now teaching in Arizona , United States. They left August 16. My heads were shocked. They applied teaching direct to the school management at Miami High School. Please if you're from Arizona do check them there. One is Liz Mortola Barangot, 28 years old, MA in Physics and the other one Fiona Mary Cabrillos , Ph. D in Mathematics. Dr. Cabrillos brought with her her family husband and 2 kids. They have shown to us their classroom very cosy nice, clean, wide. Hoping they won't experience Hate Crime Lord, protect them. Is there here from Arizona? Image shown here their classroom in Miami High School.

Don't be sad about it, they went because they wanted better perks and a future. I would love to move to Europe if someone offers me a permanent job.

@jefferson126 We are not paid here as per the work we do. In the US and Europe, people are paid better.

Why would they experience hate crimes in Arizona? I don't understand. I have family in Arizona.

Do they both went to Miami High School in Arizona? Miami is a small town in Arizona, with a population of only 1,500, they will be safe there.

@LadyDuck, Liz went ahead for a matter of 2 weeks. Fiona followed after. She was allowed to bring her family. She has 2 kids. Her husband is A PE teacher and Miami High school promised him employment next term for there are 2 Miami high school teachers to retire.

@LadyDuck, I'm happy it's a safe place and school. We're so worried about series of school shootings in United States.

@cacay1 If she is hired, she can obtain a VISA to stay and work in the United States. Tell her to be sure to do everything "legally".

@cacay1 That's always the reason why people in the workforce secretly plan for resignation. I believe the head will understand their reason for leaving the school.

@jobelbojel, yes, for there are also many qualified candidates awaiting. There are many new teachers in our department now almost 13 and haven't met them yet. I saw them during our zoom. There are many huge 'dambuhala' teachers almost all the new ones

@jobelbojel, yes, they're so secretive. They're afraid the school heads won't allow, plus they just waited for the bonuses to be released. The last is the differential. It's their parents to receive or withdraw it. They only submitted their resignation when work visa and plane tickets were on hand, so they can't accept the resistance. They submitted it August 16 and many were shocked and sad.

It sounds your colleagues jump from one job to another better job, there always are job-hopping happening among my colleagues, some of them jumped to better company.Honestly i also want a job-hopping,but i was mid-aged now,at this age, people no longer fit a job-hopping.I have to stay put until company laid off me or i retired.

@jefferson126 , agree with that. It's not good unless the intention is to tour not work. My vo teachers are still young Liz 28 and Fion 34. With her , her hubby and 2 kids so she won't feel nostalgic. As for me I'm afraid to venture far.

Did they leave because on the on-line classes? I have (for now) stopped teaching at my College because of the on-line classes. But I am enjoying teaching music. I did not move.
