This afternoon, I received my new IPE plan from Jamie on the new steps going forward. It highlighted that I have the cognitive and physical ability to obtain and maintain employment, a hard worker, and have a positive attitude. The goal is to bring my speed and pace up to be employed in a competitive workplace. My main priority is a place where I don't have to work as fast, like working in the back of a store unloading boxes and pallets.
It also stated that I have some experience and a lot of experience via volunteering. And that I'm interested in obtaining employment in stocking/order filling, and that I preferred to work closer to my home. It said, according to Indeed, there are 300+ jobs in my local metro area for stocking. (I'm not too sure about the order filling part, since that requires a forklift and heavy lifting.) And yes, I'll have a job coach to help me with the speed/pace part for training.
Then it goes into detail, that the second part of the plan, is job skill training (resume, interviews, job leads), followed by development and retention. And when I land a job, I'll have a job coach for 3 months to make sure it goes smoothly before the case can be closed as a good match. And then travel training for jobs on the bus, though I prefer to use my own bus to get there if it's nearby. The end outcome for this plan is a year from now.
So I'd signed it and returned it to Jamie. Now I'll wait to hear from Maggie after Labor Day Weekend on the information for my next trial period to start. I assume she already had sent the new referral over to Maggie awhile ago to get things moving. If I hear anything from Jamie and Maggie, I'll let you know. when I do.

It sounds promising, but by virtue of the fact you can only lift 10 pounds may work against you. it would probably have to be somewhere that doesn't require heavy lifiting. You would have to make it clear to them, that heavy lifting will not work for you, you have to walk a fine line between being open and getting something that you won't be able to do. That doesn't mean it's impossible.

@snowy22315 I'll let her know tomorrow morning. Unless they can accommodate me someway so I won't hurt my back, all I can do is try my best for two weeks.

I agree with you. I did mention that to them this spring. I'll remind Jamie about it on Monday when I email her. I can do anything, but lift heavy boxes from pallets or trucks. Store clerk is better than being a stocker/order filler. I can offload boxes, scan items, do inventory. Anything but heavy lifting.

Not really. Not interested in doing anything clerical or office work these days. I've tried it a decade ago (not remotely), but it wasn't a good fit. Medical Billing--My job coach says no to it since it was previously mentioned here by Snowy earlier this month. You need training for that job, and my job counselor won't pay for that training. Too advanced for me and perhaps not a good fit.

Yes it is. I was about to nudge her on Monday since I didn't hear back from her yesterday. I hope so too. Not sure on who my job coach will be though.

@Tina30219 I agree. Not sure about Ally, unless she's subbing as a teacher. She never called me back though. Someone new would be nice.

I am so glad that you heard from Jamie.
This sounds a good plan now and glad you will have some assistance as well.
I often worked in the factories and plants that I worked in the background in some manner, it was good mostly as I did not have to deal with people.
Good Luck now all the best Kristen from me, Ocean
