New Business idea

After having to close my business of a year due to losing all of my clients I have come up with my next side hustle business. I am going to make and sell candles, wax melts, cocoa bombs, sugar scrubs, and bath bombs. I wanted something that I could do in my spare time in addition to my job. My entire goal is to be able to fund the business from profits for the first year. After year 1 I hope to grow the business and use the income to be the main funding of my various emergency funds I am working towards. I did learn how important it is to not have a business that you don't like doing. For me, I didn't learn that until I was 6 months in. Having to close was a blessing in disguise. I had to close because I just couldn't compete with the new influx in our area of people cleaning homes. I would watch a facebook post looking for a cleaner get 40 comments within 30 minutes. Worse was when they asked you to list your prices and then people would undercut your prices. I have lots of knowledge and there is someone that I'm going to reach out to and see if she is wanting to buy my supplies.

I have the app Merchandiser that I have done a few jobs on. I'm saying up my money on there until December and then I'm going to use it to pay for part of Christmas.

Thank you. With as much as we work for my job, it will probably be only on Sundays that I get to do this. Not looking to make a million dollars but breaking even would be my worst case scenario. Best case would be turning a profit.

Good luck with your new business. My boyfriend just started his own business and he enjoys working there much more than at his previous job.

Hi, you are going to sell wax melts, candles etc. I have seen in my country that a cow dunk has been sold, much more than its actual price over the internet. Like if he sold for 2 rupees it will be sold for 50 rupees. This is the power of online seller. You have knowledge of technology. Try this also. It may boost up your income.

Well for the last two years, climate was really bad for business especially the small entrepreneurs who are there just for the hustle to earn enough side money. I got my retail store closed too due to pandemic. Kinda hard and it was earning great. And the fact that it all started from scratch and slowly build up my shop only to have it closed down due to pandemic. But I am restarting now and this is what I learned: 1. Everyday is a new day and a new hustle so keep trying. You might hit the jackpot or atleast get it right. 2. Business is a dog eat dog world. So only those who persevere survives. 3. Get back to the community.
