So Soft!

I decided to get myself a throw-type of the blanket to put over me in the fall. I didn't want a big, heavy comforter or regular blanket. They all seem to be heavy and too warm.
My throw came yesterday and I was very pleasantly surprised. It is SO soft! I mean I have felt velvety and somewhat soft materials but, this one is extremely soft. It is so fluffy and gossamer. I was so surprised.
How do you like these new softer materials?

A few years ago I bought a blanket made from bamboo fibers. It is light weight, moisture wicking and breathes. With my thyroid problems, it seemed like the perfect choice. And it has been the best blanket I've ever owned! It is also sooo soft to the touch!

I did the exact same thing a couple years ago. I needed a light throw, nothing heavy, to cover up at times and I love it! It's folded on the foot of my bed:)

I actually like the blankets made out of this new kind of material. I don't, however, like the new softer bedsheets made out of the microfiber that's so prevalent these days. They wear out so darned easily, probably because they get so much more wear and tear than the blankets do.
