Do You Recycle or Not?

When I was a kid, recycling wasn't a big thing. The only thing we did was get our deposit money back from our glass cola bottles and aluminum cans.
When my husband and I first got married, more was said about recycling, but we rarely took our plastics, cans, etc. to a recycling plant, and there was no recycling pickup at that time.
Nowadays, we have recycling included in our garbage pickup, and, in my opinion, it's hugely important to recycle if there is a way to do so.
There's just so much waste that can actually be recycled nowadays. And given the many, many people that are now alive and creating waste, recycling seems more important than ever!
What do you think about the importance of recycling? Are you able to recycle in your neck of the woods?

For me, even from my childhood, I remember being big on recycling, and recycling back then was strongly encouraged. To this day I am big on recycling, even bringing back all of my recyclable stuff from work trips I take to toss it into our recycling bin.
Luckily our city has regular recycling pick up.

We've got a "clean and beautiful" committee in our county that are kind of zealots for making sure that recycling gets recycled. I have the feeling that, save for this committee, we probably would have a lot of the recycling put into the landfills.

Yes! Plastic bottles, cans are separated. My father is using a natural fertilizer: vegetable peel or fruits that can no longer be edible - he blend it with soil. We have a little yard with Lemon, Chili and a big tree of avocado. Me and Mom are using Eco bags for groceries.

I still don't know what it means. I used to think they put them all into--i dunno--some melting-pot, boiled it down to its original elements, and constructed new materials from them.
Then I see that they basically put it in 'a separate dump from the regular dump.'

I make use of most things but I sure dont have a lot.
If there is anything, sadly I do not have a recycle service here and it would be a trudge to take it anywhere with no transpo.

My relatives and myself used to recycle used cans and newspapers. These days there is no recycling plant close to home for my relatives to recycle or time.
