at posting today. :( It's 2:36 by my computer clock, and this is only the second posts of mine for the day.
I tried to deposit the check I was given this morning, but the teller wouldn't do it because (from what I could understand through her mask) there was something wrong on the check-writer's end.
I came back home, stopping at the grocery store on the way, and getting a couple of things.
I texted my boss to let her know I couldn't deposit my check, and after a minute or so she texted me back and said it should be okay now. I didn't feel like dragging myself back to the bank, which closes at one on Saturdays, anyway, so I'll try again Monday.
I watered the plants earlier, and they could probably stand to be watered again, but I'm going to wait until it's cooler.
Right now I'm feeling really tired, so I guess I'll just sit at the computer for a while.
Hope all is well with you in your part of myLot land !
The temperature right now is 93° F, and I'm not going out there again until it cools down some. I went to check the mail, and there was nothing in my box. Normally I continue walking after getting the mail for half an hour, but not today.

I'm down in Atascadero California and it's about 95 degrees F here. I haven't done much except take out the garbage and check my mail. The neighbor lady, bless her soul, took my trash to the garbage bin for me, and walked with me to the mailboxes...she walked I crutched and stumbled. I can't walk much anyhow with having broken my ankle so well. I'm hoping that tomorrow I can do some more work on getting the apartment settled, I have my entrance inspection on September 20th between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m.. I hope that isn't the day of my appointment with the orthopedic doctor. I'm going to be at the hospital for quite a while, what with x-rays and seeing the doctor I'll be there awhile.
Other than sitting and sweating, it's kind of a quiet day. I am having dinner with the neighbor lady tonight, so I don't need to worry about cooking, and I am trying to build up the energy to do laundry, I've either been on the computer or watching the Star Wars movies. I get up once in a while and make myself another cup of tea...but, like everything else, I blame it on my broken ankle. I forgot how cumbersome and inconvenient crutches are. I had to use them when I was in Thailand back in 1973-74 (I stepped in a hole and tore up my knee.) and I had to use them to get home (13 hours on a plane) and had to use them when I had knee surgery in 1975. But that's a long time ago and one does forget.
Anyhow the temperature is 95 out side, and I'm going to take my laundry to the laundry room and get it started and then sit some more while the wash runs. I also need to check on the furry people who are asleep in the bedroom. I haven't heard a peep from them in several hours. Oh, and I need to check on the neighbors behind me and see what they're doing, I hear a lot of banging coming from that direction. So, I'll be back in a few minutes to bore all of you in my own "Toni way".

I am sure that the problem that you had trying to deposit your check today will be solved by Monday after your boss did tell you that the problem should be resolved now.
