Myself, hubby Jay and our 2.5 yr old son Aleister went on our very first trip together as a family recently.
We drove to Seton Portage which is in the interior of our province of British Columbia.
We drove 5 hours there and 5 hours back. We stayed for 2 nights and 3 days.
It was Aleister's first time ever sleeping away from home, and first time driving so long in the car. He got car sick once on our way there, but did pretty well overall.
We stayed in a nice trailer in the woods of Seton. Enjoyed nature and just hanging out. Got to see a couple family members who have a cabin up there as well. It was pretty good.
Photos belong to me.

@MissNikki I noticed you were not around. Kids grow so fast.

We gave him some children's gravol before the ride there, and it seemed to help for the first couple hours, it was only in the last 30 mins of the ride where it got pretty bumpy that he got sick. On the way home he did much better! I'll keep ginger tea in mind for next time!

It's good to get away ... although there's also a reminder of things you'll never get away from ...
