A Hole in my Heart

February 4th, 2022 I lost a friend who was so much more than that, to me. She was the sister of my heart, my deepest confidant, my soul Friend. She was the person who knew my secrets, who never judged me and always had something positive to say to me. She was the truest heart I have ever known. Not perfect but perfectly imperfect and humble, gracious, funny as hell and forgiving. I swear I could never be a true and good a friend as she was to me but I tried. I miss her almost every day. My heart isn't the same and a lot of people may not understand that. Some days I feel like I actually have NO one to tell things to since she is gone. I may have needed her more than she needed me. I didn't get to tell her goodbye but her brother said she mentioned me and gave me the message. She left behind so many who loved her but they can speak on that for themselves. She was one of a kind and I was honored to speak at her memorial and share how much she meant and what I thought of her. I know she is no longer in pain. I know where she has gone. I know I will see her again, but for these days: I miss you sister, so very very much and there isn't a replacement for you.
