I did my dishes yesterday!

I am so proud of myself. My sink was getting a bit stinky. I realized it was time.
I also did some laundry a week or two ago. So now I have fresh t-shirts for my various fashion ensembles.
I may do my 2022 sheet washing soon as well, just to please @Vandana7.
How often do you do dishes? For me it means wiping them down with a sponge and placing in the dishwasher. I live a life of luxury.
I'm off to the preschool to see who I wind up playing with.
Then I get to go to guitar Center and teach until 8:30 PM. I guess that makes this a 12.5 hour day.
Wish me minimal harassment by the "head teacher" with the littlies. I want to go into my guitar and piano (and bass) lessons "fired up."

@sjvg1976 Issue is...they are constantly stinking. You know he is so naughty....he made Erica think this is personal issue...and the poor girl she actually believed it, and said we should resolve our issues in private. LOL
Pony is too naughty. Don't be under any illusion that he is serious about anything. He is here for fun as much as I am.

You don't help in Machine Wash?
I take care of complete machine wash, drying of clothes and 98% of setting of the clothes.

@MarieCoyle I do pretty much the same. I have never had a maid in adult life.

A maid. I just can't imagine having a maid. Not sure if I would want one, if I could even afford it. Some things I think I have to do myself or maybe I just don't trust a stranger to do them correctly...as for dishes, they get rinsed and put in the dishwasher. I don't run it every single day, usually every other. But they are rinsed well, and the dishwasher does a good job plus it sanitizes them.

I don’t do dishes. That’s what paper plates are for. As for the fine china, my next door neighbor’s puppy loves table scraps.

@FourWalls I really thought Americans do that.
JJ blocked me because I thought the States that get snow don't get rain. Kinda...snow = rain.
Logically, when snow melts, it would lead to some flooding, and then rain too. So I presumed like that.
DE let me believe that...I have plenty of Americans misleading me.

@vandana7 — it’s a joke, dear.
I don’t have any fine china. I’m not rich enough.

When I do not have house help, I too do dishes thrice. That way no roaches. And no .."do I really have to do that much?" feeling.
I have never used a dishwasher in my life.
We get them here, but I guess we are so habituated to house helps that we don't feel the need for them.
One of the most painful things that I saw a few years ago...a lady bought new house, with all equipment, she was showing us around and she had a dishwasher, and her ma in law was sitting on a ledge washing the dishes. I hurt a lot that day. Elder abuse. She could easily afford a house help, using elderly lady to do dishes was so mean...I want to use worse language.

@vandana7 - A helper would cost in one month the double of the cost of a dishwasher here. As I am not a millionaire, I cannot afford a maid/helper, but we are only two and washing the dishes is not a big deal.
The dishwasher was already installed in the kitchen when we bought the house. It worked for some years, I only used it when I had guests. We receive less now, when it broke I decided not to replace it.

I do the dishes when we finish eating. Dirty dishes here call ants and we don't like sharing our house with creepy crawlies. I wash the dishes by hand. We have a dishwasher but it takes too long to get a load of dishes for it... *shrug*
I hope you have a good day at your jobs.

@vandana7 I do pots and pans as we take the foods out of them so there are never too many dirty dishes to do after we eat.
It normally takes less than ten minutes to wash whatever is dirty in the sink.

We have to do Dishes almost everyday.
At times, some are left over during the night time.
Life of luxury?
But you never talked about having a Ferrari, flying in your Private Jet, having a private army or anything about your private Island!!
May be you need to post and tell u about all of these.

I do the dishes, by hand-blah each morning. My teens do them during the day after lunch usually so we have dishes to use for dinner.

In most Indian homes, they will never be fully satisfied with the dishwasher washing their dishes. We wash our dishes after every meal by hand using soap and water. Steel and ceramic utensils are common in Indian households for daily usage. Expensive ceramic and glass dishes come out for guests.
Wash clothes (including bedsheets) once a week, preferably on weekends. We never, as a rule, leave unwashed dishes overnight.

I whined for my very first dishwasher. I've used it about five times in four years! lol With leftovers being a mainstay at this home, we sometimes resort to paper plates. Jay and I don't dirty very many dishes. The pots and pans, I immediately scrub them in the sink, after dinner.

@vandana7 I don't mind cooking a meal. But, leaving dirty pots and pans in the sink, I won't do it!

@TheHorse I would be happy if you could devote more time to your music and musical instruments as well as your students. I repent my stopping singing and can't sing anymore in the G scale now.

My husband does as many dishes as he can. Both of us have trouble standing. Our housekeeper finishes them up when she comes. I hope you had a good day with the littlies with as little harassment as possible.

Minimal harassment is the best. I am constantly doing dishes because it seems someone is constantly eating here or at my sister's house. She uses paper plates a lot and then wipes them off with a paper towel. My dad did stuff like that. I hope I never start that mess. I have all sheets and towels washed, dried, but not folded from having guests. They will get done though.
