If You Are In A Bad Mood, Do You Prefer To Be Left Alone Or Have Someone To Cheer You Up?

A friend called in the morning to check if I was alright when the typhoon hit Hong Kong last night. She said it was quite windy and raining heavily at her place. She also told me she has been feeling kind of low these days. We talked about her problem for a while. She invited me to go to her place when the typhoon is over. A few other friends were also invited. She said she needs friends to cheer her up. I'm more than willing to help.
When I'm in a bad mood, I find being left alone for a while works best for me. I may go for a walk, listen to music, or play musical instruments. I don’t mind being cheered up after but I would need to sort through my thoughts first.
If you're in a bad mood, do you prefer to be left alone or have someone to cheer you up?

If I'm in a bad mood, I prefer to be left alone. When I'm in a good mood, then I like other people around.

@58lordstreet The most important thing is you know how you feel yourself.

I am more of a reaching out to pereson where I lend a shoulder. When I have issues I try to deal with it and yes may talk it over with whoever I trust but this does not happen often.

I am used to being alone so I prefer cheering myself up and having everyone else leave me alone

@Beestring Yes, we need people whose advice can make us feel and act better.

That can go either way for me, depending on what I'm in a bad mood about. If I'm in a general bad mood over nothing, I prefer to work it out on my own without any cheering up. If I'm in a bad mood about a circumstance or situation, then I do like to talk it out and get cheered up by someone else.

It depends, sometimes I get in a mood where everything (and I mean everything) annoys me. At that point, I keep to myself.

I also prefer to be left alone if I'm in a bad mood. Sometimes it just makes my mood worse if someone tries to cheer me up.

I'm always better off, when I'm left alone to sort out my thoughts. Others think they know what to say, to cheer me up. Most of the time, they unknowingly make matter worse. Or I end up getting angry at someone, multiplying those feelings of anxiety. I'm not a person who seeks put people, for comfort. I'm truly an introverted personality.

@Beestring I avoid crowds and confusion, at all times. When I'm upset, I do the exact same thing.
